Bangkok Diaries Day 4.2

Sorry for the long hiatus. I know I keep you guys waiting for so long. This serves as the continuation of the Day 4 adventure I have in Bangkok. I can't flood and bore you with too many pics. I'll just upload one place at a time.

Anyways, from Grand Palace, next stop is Wat Pho or known as where the reclining buddha is. Entrance fee is 100 baht but for foreigners, you get to have 1 free bottled drinking water as a complimentary drink. At least you can save 10 baht for the water. The estimated time of the tour inside the temple is around 10-30 mins. maximum to 1 hour depends on how you appreciate the view, picture taking or simply enjoying every view. Based on my experience, it took us 2 hours to view the whole place from Grand Palace to Wat Pho, that includes the entire walking and picture taking, and some short breaks and pauses in between. Anyways, Thai's look like Filipino's, they are not tall, medium built and the complexion is almost the same with Filipino's, I guess the only difference is the language spoken. In my experience, I've been disguised as Thai and usually when I order something, they always talk back in Thai. Funny but true..

You have to remove your shoes before getting inside. You can place your shoes inside the eco bag provided and you have to return the bag after.

Bangkok Diaries Day 4

Our day 4 itinerary includes temple visit. Grand Palace, Wat Pho and other temple is what we aim to visit to complete this Bangkok trip. They are known for their temples and buddha's especially for the ancient Thai's. We walked from Jakrapong road to the Grand Palace, it will take about 10-20 mins. it depends on how fast you walk. As for me and my mom, we had few pauses in between because we have to take pictures once in a while of the breathtaking view Bangkok has to offer.

First stop: Grand Palace. If you've been to Bangkok, every establishment or tourist attraction, they have different rates for foreigners and locals. For example, if you will go to Grand Palace, if you are a Thai you will only pay if I'm not mistaken, 100baht but if you are a foreigner, you have to pay 400 for the admission fee. Call it unfair but I think this is how they earn money and their economy. Anyways, Grand Palace entrance fee is 400 baht. For first timers, I suggest, be cautious with your things, there are pick pockets so be very careful with your stuff everywhere you go. If someone will approach you and tell you that the temple is close, oh please don't be fooled by such trick because the temple is open every day. You can do intensive research first before going to the place so as not to be fooled by scam.

If a picture paints a thousands words... of course he can't paint me because of too many pictures I have in one place.. LOL.. Call me narcissistic.

When you want to order food in their food court, you have to buy cash card first. It costs 100 baht corresponding to 100 baht in cash too but I think you can buy more than that. Just say your order and all you have to do is give this, they will swipe it in their machine. You don't have to pay cash but instead the cash card will pay for the food that you ordered. No worries, it is refundable within the day. So if you won't be able to consume the entire balance, all you have to do is return this to the counter and they will refund you to the remaining balance that you have in your cash card. 

I forgot the name, but it is Pork and it costs 80 baht. 

This one is Gyoza. It costs 85 baht.

Platinum mall pronounced as "Platinam" mall, they consider this as the largest wholesale fashion mall. They will give you 10-50% discount if you buy more than 2 items.
